I moved to Port Moody in 2015 and soon discovered the Port Moody Arts Centre.  The heritage building is a local treasure, and it supports the creation and exhibition of art in the community, as well as offering music programs.

My interest in art began at the age of 12 on a family trip to Europe.  We visited museums, churches and historical sites in several countries, and the experience stayed with me.  Art is all around us and, in one form or another, it speaks to everyone.

I enjoy many types of music – jazz, pop, classical, opera.  For the past 5 years, I have been singing with the Coquitlam Celebration Choir.   This has introduced me to the world of choral and vocal ensemble music.

For several decades, I worked as a pathologist at Vancouver General Hospital and LifeLabs.  Since retiring in November, 2023, I am spending more time on music, travel, reading and community service.
