  1. Are supplies included in your registration fees?
It varies. Some classes include supplies; others may have extra fees or require you to bring your own. Camps and workshops always include supplies, though we may ask you to wear certain types of clothing or shoes for certain activities or bring your own digital device to work on. Check the program description online for details.
  2. Can my child join a program if they’re outside the age range?
It’s possible. We handle age exceptions on a case-by-case basis, so contact us to discuss.
  3. What if I (or my child) have special needs?
Let us know about any medical, learning, or accessibility needs during registration so we can provide the best experience possible. Our staff will reach out to you before the program begins if more details are needed.
  4. What’s the drop-off and pick-up policy for kids? Can my child leave a program on their own?
Kids under 12 must be dropped off and picked up by an authorized adult. If someone else is picking up your child, let Customer Service know, and they may need to show photo ID. If you would like your child to be allowed to leave PoMoArts without an authorized adult, please contact us before the program starts to fill out a consent form.

Yes, you’ll receive a full refund if you withdraw at least seven days before the program starts. No refunds are available after that.

We strive to make all workshops inclusive. Please contact us with any accessibility needs so we can prepare appropriately.
Private Music Lessons

Reach out! Some of our instructors can teach other instruments beyond what’s listed in their bios.
  3. Do you offer classes in theory, harmony, or music composition?
We occasionally offer group classes in these subjects, and several instructors are happy to teach them in private or semi-private lessons. Contact us to inquire.
  4. Do you offer performance opportunities for music students?
Yes! We hold music recitals in late fall and late spring, and all current music students are invited to perform. Instructors and staff will share details as the recitals get closer. We believe performing is a vital part of music education, and we encourage students to take the leap!
  5. How are private music lessons billed?
You can pay for your lessons in full at the time of booking or choose our monthly payment plan. Monthly payments are due on the 20th of the preceding month. For example, payment for July lessons is due by June 20th.
  6. How do I reschedule a lesson?
During the school year (September to June), we offer two rescheduled lessons during a scheduled “makeup week”. If you need to miss a scheduled lesson for any reason, let us know at least 24 hours in advance by emailing info@pomoarts.ca. We’ll book your makeup lesson during the next Makeup Week – see your Agreement for Makeup Week dates. We do not offer lesson rescheduling in the summer (July & August).

We’ll contact you as soon as possible, and we’ll refund the missed lesson.
  8. Can I withdraw from lessons mid-term?
We know schedules can change from time to time. If you need to withdraw from your lessons for any reason, email info@pomoarts.ca and you will be sent a Music Lessons Withdrawal Form. Please submit all withdrawal forms by the 20th of the current month. If we receive your form after the 20th, your withdrawal will take effect at the end of the following month. For example, if you submit your withdrawal on August 21st, you'll be responsible for all lessons until the end of September.
  9. What if I miss a lesson and can’t give you 24 hours notice?
Outside of our rescheduling policy, we don’t offer refunds, credits, or make-ups for student absences, so be sure to attend when you can.
  10. Do you offer refunds for medical or compassionate reasons?
Possibly. In special circumstances, refunds can be considered case by case. Contact Customer Service for assistance.
  11. My lesson was canceled because I was sick. What happens next?
We prioritize the health and comfort of all our students and instructors. If you arrive for your lesson feeling unwell, your instructor will decide whether or not to proceed. If your lesson is cancelled, a member of our customer service team will reach out to you within 24 hours to let you know if a refund will be issued for that lesson. Each family is eligible for one refunded lesson per term in these situations.
  12. I need to adjust my lesson day or time for the remainder of the term. What should I do?
When there is an unexpected change in your availability that impacts your music lesson schedule with us for your term, please email our customer service team at info@pomoarts.ca with your request for a lesson day or time change.
