EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, Monday, August 15th, 2022

PORT MOODY, BC

Today, PoMoArts, also known as the Port Moody Arts Center, is announcing and welcoming our new Executive Director, Deanna Kayne.

Originally from Alberta, Deanna Kayne brings a wealth of experience and passion for community engagement, management, and the arts. She has built community through film and visual arts festivals, art collaborations, community dialogues, and events for over two decades. Her career has spanned municipal, not-for-profit, and post-secondary organizations. She is on the board of Tri-City Transitions Society and has recently completed an MPA with a research focus on the health needs of pregnant women in transition housing in British Columbia. As Coquitlam resident, on the traditional, ancestral, and unceeded territory of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation, she is excited to be focusing her energy in Tri-Cities with the warm and dedicated staff at PoMoArts.

We will be saying goodbye to our current director, Fatima Amarshi. We thank her for all her hard work and numerous contributions to PoMoArts.

We look forward to working with Deanna and are excited with what the future at the art centre will bring!
