Robinson’s paintings examine the connection between memory and architecture, stemming from a recent rezoning of her street. The series attempts to negotiate the inevitable destruction of space, and considers what it means for the memories and nostalgia that are formed and harboured in one’s living space. Each painting hopes to live in a kinetic space, as if frozen in time, shifting from an active to a paused state.
