"Maya Florey (they/she) is a passionate ceramic artist and educator known for their dynamic teaching style and passion for clay. With a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts and a specialization in Ceramics from Emily Carr University, Maya brings together hand-building techniques, wheel throwing, and experimentation with glazes, to create ceramic installations that revolve around the concept of the ecosystem. Their teaching philosophy inspires participants to explore the unlimited potential of clay in a supportive and inclusive environment. Maya resides in Coquitlam, or the unceded traditional territory of the Kwikwetlem First Nations"
