Hello and welcome to my page, I am a Ceramic Artist
Serisa Fitz-James is a Filipinx-Canadian artist who currently works and resides on the unceded lands of the Coast Salish peoples - Squamish, Stó:lō, Tsleil-Waututh, and Musqueam Nations. In April 2020 Serisa graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design with a focus in Ceramic sculpture and a minor in Social Practice and Community Engagement. Their piece in the 2020 graduation show won an award for social practice and anti racism, and was an Honorable mention for the Thelma Ruck Keene Memorial Award for Ceramics.

Artist Statement
Serisa is multidisciplinary artist whose work explores themes of identity, pre/post colonial histories of the Philippines, as well as Filipinx/Canadian relationships. They enjoy creating works to heal, uplift and bring people together through food, comedy, illustration, performance, animation, and ceramic sculpture.
