Hello and welcome to my page, I am a Visual Artist, Ceramic Artist

Pauline Doyle has worked with ceramics as a teacher and creator for 20+ years in the Port Moody area. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from The University of British Columbia and studied Ceramic Arts at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. In addition, Pauline was the Ceramic Artist in Residence at PoMoArts from 2009-2012. During this time, she developed her professional art practice, ran the community studio, and taught classes in ceramic hand-building to adults, teens and children. Her artwork has been displayed in Metro Vancouver art galleries, shops and public spaces and is in private collections on three continents. Presently, she is retired from teaching and runs a small studio on Spring Street in Port Moody.

Pauline says, “I am very grateful to the Port Moody Arts Centre Society for all the wonderful years of teaching, creating and exhibiting at the arts centre and for the blessings from the community they support.”

Artist Statement

“The object of Art is to give life a shape.” - Shakespeare

I reveal myself through my work. The things I love, my sense of humour, my abilities, my limitations; they are all there to be seen. I find the creative process mostly a great joy but have experienced the gut wrenching stuff as well. Form, colour and the sweet spot are the articles of my faith while creating.   I am thankful for the opportunity to share with the world.
