Hello and welcome to my page, I am a Glass Artist
Eight months ago, Parker took his first "gather" at Terminal City Glass Co-op (TCGC). His love of the medium grows daily! His glass journey began in 2021 while apprenticing at a local stained glass studio. There he learned the skills for leaded window production and repairs. Eventually Parker began driving to Seattle to visit Fremont Antique, one of the only remaining hot shops dedicated to producing mouth blown sheet glass. Jim Flanagan and his team welcomed Parker allowing him to observe and assist in the amazing glass blowing process. This is where Parker was bitten by the notorious “glass bug”. Now interested in glass blowing, Parker made his way to Vancouver hot shop TCGC and continued his training with the guidance of glassblowers Lisa Samphire and Cameron Dougherty. It wasn't long before Parker was working for Cam. In 2022, Parker attended Aya Oki’s six-week fall concentration at Penland School of Craft in North Carolina. Once returning to Vancouver he took a course with Lisa Samphire and Jaan Andres at TCGC diving deeper into his current obsession, murrini patterning! Parker continues to grow his skills working for Cam, and looks forward to a career in glass.

Artist Statement
The goal was to explore new shapes, colours and techniques while creating this trio of pieces. I wanted to push the boundaries in terms of my technical abilities. This was made possible with the expert help and guidance of Jaan Andres.
