Laura Carey is an arts administrator with over 10 years of professional experience in the field. She deeply believes in the value of arts education and the role of the arts in our personal development as empathetic human beings. Her parents were professional artisans for the first 15 years of her life, and the apple does not fall far from the tree. Laura’s professional history includes roles at the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery, the Gallery of BC Ceramics, Circle Craft, and the Terminal City Glass Co-op. She has a particular passion for ceramics, and has been a board member for the Potters Guild of BC since 2015. Laura is a hobbyist bookbinder in her spare time, focusing on creating Medieval style leather bound books in a contemporary colour palate.
