PoMoArts invites applications for the 2024/2025 Ceramic Artist in Residence (CAIR).

PoMoArts Ceramic Artist in Residence (CAIR) program is an important part of our commitment to artistic and cultural development. The annual residency supports the work of an emerging ceramic artist, providing opportunities for artistic development within an innovative and supportive ceramics community. It is open to all emerging ceramic artists over 19 years of age. Throughout the residency, there is an emphasis on making, learning and sharing the process of creating with clay. The ceramic studios at PoMoArts are busy, supportive and house a true sense of community.  There are classes for adults in wheel throwing, hand building and sculpture, as well as classes for children and teens that range from after school clay to spring & summer camps, plus a very active Open Studio.

This residency is an excellent opportunity for artistic development within an innovative and supportive ceramic community. The residency requires an emphasis on making, learning and sharing the process of creating with clay. It includes a studio, kiln firings, a solo exhibition and more. In exchange, PoMoArts CAIR is asked to supervise two open studio sessions per week.
