Open Call for Music Instructors
PoMoArts is currently seeking Music Instructors who are confident and experienced in teaching guitar, violin and piano to children, teens and adults. Individuals who have original ideas combined with training and proven pedagogical experience are encouraged to apply.
Housed in the historic Old City Hall and Appleyard House buildings in the heart of Port Moody, PoMoArts is a cultural hub for arts and education. With a mission to promote participation in the arts, we offer a full range of visual, ceramic, music, and media arts programming for people of all ages and experience levels to explore their creativity. Our small class sizes and inclusive environment give students the opportunity to receive individual instruction from talented instructors, where they are encouraged to learn and develop an appreciation of the arts.
The successful candidate will bring a high level of skill along with unique ideas that will enhance and build on the programs currently offered at PoMoArts. Instructors should be open to ideas and provide innovative new projects to keep our programming interesting and our students engaged.
PoMoArts is committed to recruiting a diverse workforce that represents the community we so proudly serve. Indigenous applicants, people of colour, all gender, LGBT2Q+, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Employment offers are conditional upon receipt of a Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check that is acceptable to PoMoArts.
Pay will be commensurate with education and previous teaching experience.
Applications will be considered on an ongoing basis. Please submit your cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your interest in PoMoArts!
