Hello and welcome to my page, I am a Visual Artist, Mixed/Multi Media, Metal/Wood Artist
Sharifah Marsden-Larocque on her Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) roots and knowledge of Woodlands art to create unique works of diverse arts. These include painting at large and small scales, jewellery, and beadwork. She is known for her bentwood box titled “To Honour Our Indigenous Veterans”, held in a collection at The Vancouver Museum. She is a graduate of Vancouver’s Northwest Coast Jewellery Arts program, under established artist Haida/Kwakwaka’wakw artist Dan Wallace.
Marsden-Larocque has also worked with artists Richard Tetrault and Jerry Whitehead, among others, to complete Western Canada’s largest mural on the exterior of the Orwell Hotel in Vancouver. She presently lives in the interior of British Columbia with her family, where she continues to practice and teach.
