Hello and welcome to my page, I am a Visual Artist

Maryanne Lindberg is an Old-School Artist, born and raised in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. She is self-taught, but received lessons with her Great Aunt Nora who had been mentoring by A.Y. Jackson, one of the Group of Seven. Her interest in portraiture started at a very young age when her parents bought her a chalkboard. Chalkboard pastels are still her favorite medium to work with. Maryanne is a proud descendant of the first families of the Métis Nation. Her interest in Indigenous people and culture are depicted in her art. Maryanne and her business partner/cousin, Pat Calihou, started an Indigenous Artist Collective called Cedar Sage & Sweetgrass in 2018. They have had numerous successful art shows in the Lower Mainland and look forward to four shows in 2022.

Maryanne and her husband Cam make their home in Vancouver. She is a Mother to three daughters and one grandson. Follow Maryanne on Facebook @ Maryanne Lindberg, Indigenous Artist, and Cedar Sage & Sweetgrass.
