Hello and welcome to my page, I am a Visual Artist, Mixed/Multi Media

Susan L. Greig is an award-winning Métis artist who captures the energy of nature in her contemporary landscape paintings. She currently lives in Coquitlam but is best known for being both an artist and owner of 100 Braid St. Studios & Gallery, located in New Westminster, one of the largest active studios in Metro-Vancouver. The studio currently has a small gallery in Port Coquitlam, and Susan is currently building an online community to support the many artists she mentors.
As a previous long-time resident of New Westminster and now Coquitlam, Susan’s landscape paintings depict life along the Fraser River and West Coast. Her work has been heavily influenced by the work of the Group of 7, Emily Carr, Ted Harrison, and Bellingham print-maker, Elizabeth Colbourne. As a person of Indigenous background, she is continually learning about Métis heritage and traditional arts & crafts. She has always found inspiration in the work of Indigenous artists such as the Indian Group of 7. Her medium of choice is acrylics because she is, “too impatient to wait for oils to dry” and loves the immediacy of capturing what she sees before her. Susan loves to start painting plein air but finishes her works in the studio. For the past three years, she has focused on commissions, partly due to demand, but also because she loves working with clients; "getting into flow comes easily when I feel the energetic connection between me, the painting and the person who ultimately receives it”, she says.
Her work is represented by VanDop Galleries in New Westminster. You can also find her art in several healthcare institutions including BC Children's Hospital, and art collections throughout Canada, USA, Mexico and Europe.
