Hello and welcome to my page, I am a Visual Artist
I have been painting for over 20 years. My work consists mainly of abstract and semi-abstract work. My work emphasizes colour and contrast, and makes use of a variety of techniques including adding texture, splattering, mark-making, as well working with collage and mixed media. I have been a very active artist and volunteer in the community over the years; I have served as president and treasurer of the Garibaldi Art Club over several years. I have served on the Board of Directors of the Maple Ridge Art Gallery and organized the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Art Studio for several years. I am now the treasurer and past-president of the Fraser Valley Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists.

Samples of my work
I have been painting for over 20 years. While my early work consisted of traditional renderings of florals and landscapes, over time, my work evolved into a more painterly style, and eventually, abstraction became my preference. Today, I paint mostly bright, colourful abstract and semi-abstract works. I work mostly with acrylic paints, supplemented with collage or mixed media work. I utilize a variety of techniques like adding texture, splattering and a variety of mark-making to add interest and contrast. I let the painting dictate where it will go, and slowly reveal itself. My favourite elements are colour and contrast; using bright colours and bold designs, allows me to infuse my work with plenty of both."
