Hello and welcome to my page, I am a Glass Artist
This work is a collaboration with Cam Dougherty of Dougherty Glassworks as a way to reuse waste glass produced in the process of making hand-blown glassware. Cam's process has the top of the blown glass piece hot-popped and discarded to create a beautiful crisp edge for his glassware. Julie re-purposes this discarded glass by breaking it into glass shards and re-melting it in a kiln to create pieces that are unique, colourful, and useful.

Artist Statement
Julie started her journey with glass at Terminal City Glass Co-op in 2012. She appreciates learning and creating useful items that bring her joy. She enjoys exploring all areas of glass as a material.
